Lake Union Loop –

Saturday in 30 degree temps, I bundled up and headed to Lake Union with my friend Brian.  I have written about walking the 6 mile long Cheshiahud Loop (Lake Union Loop) before – I like to do it about once or twice a month and hit Green Lake on busier days when I don’t have so much time.  It is a magical walk and made even more some when you are one of about five adventurous groups around the entire lake.

Fountains were frozen over and towards the end we had snow flakes on our eyelashes and cheeks. Despite all this, the lake is still so vibrant even in the coldest of temps.  It always offers beautiful views, but you can’t ever really get to know Lake Union unless you spend time in it, on it, and around it.
